OpenTech Talk + AW: AI in the public sector
How can AI create real value for society? At our next OpenTech Talk, we dive into use cases from the public sector, exploring how municipalities and the private sector can collaborate to develop data-driven solutions.
SPEAKERS:
Data-driven approaches to equal opportunities in education – A city–startup collaboration
Britta Duve Hansen, Intrapreneur, City of Helsingborg
Marius Ungureanu, CEO, Skolanalys Sverige
Britta and Marius will share how the City of Helsingborg applies the Helsingborg Innovation Model to co-create solutions with startups. They will highlight AI-driven use cases such as preschool language development and school performance analysis, showing how the city acts as a testbed to validate solutions, support equal opportunities in education and scale results that can inspire others.
Their session is also an invitation: to explore how long-term city–startup collaborations can create real impact and to spark new partnerships around data-driven innovation in the public sector.
Social Services as Intended – Data-Driven Approaches to Municipal Care with AI and Beyond
Adrian Johansson, Development Leader Digitalisation, City of Lund
Björn Pettersson, Object Manager Welfare Technology, City of Lund
Adrian and Björn will present how Lund’s Social Services are rethinking their systems and data management. From moving away from closed processes toward modular, open-standard approaches, to testing AI solutions like Tandem for transcribing and sorting casework interactions, they will share how the city is building foundations for a new national direction in social services.
Their session also highlights opportunities for businesses and organisations to explore a possible new market – co-developing and testing innovative solutions to better support Swedish social services.
